11/8/25 Ride to Casa Grande

Four EVHOG’s rode through the desert to Casa Grande on a pleasant Saturday morning. The later start was a nice change.  The first lunch stop we tried had a 35-40 minute wait.  So, we walked down the street to another spot.  The Cook E Jar Bakery and Cafe only had a 20 minute wait, which turned into a 40 minute wait.  We used that opportunity to walk over to the Cassa Grande Neon Sign Park. There were lots of cool, old neon signs mounted on buildings and signposts.  We agreed it would be fun to check the park out after dark to see the signs lit.  As we walked around the small downtown core, we concluded that Casa Grande may be the barber shop/salon capitol of the universe.  There seemed to be at least two shops on every block.  After a tasty lunch, the restaurant owner gave each of us a delicious cookie as a thank you for our patience.  Another great EVHOG ride in the books!
