RIDE / EVENT CANCELLED AMID INCREASED SECURITY ISSUES

 

FOURTH ANNUAL BLUE ANGELS overnight ride to see the Blue Angels in El Centro, California -- their first show of the season. This has been a fun and succesful ride the past three years.

The Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration squadron, formed in 1946 under Admiral Chester Nimitz to boost Navy morale and public interest, led by WWII ace "Butch" Voris. They adopted their name from a New York nightclub and debuted at Craig Field, FL, in June of that year. The Blue Angels have since showcased precision flying in aircraft like the F6F Hellcat, F8F Bearcat, and later jets like the F-4 Phantom, A-4 Skyhawk, and current F/A-18 Super Hornet. Continually evolving through aircraft and pilot changes while maintaining their mission of demonstrating naval excellence.

If you believe you will make the trip, please hit the going button. We will not be making any hotel reservations for you, but it assists with ride planning if we have a tentative idea of the group size.

KSU: 6:00 AM from Desert Wind Harley-Davidson
Breakfast: Space Age Restaurant, Gila Bend AZ (72 Miles)
Gas Stop: Yuma (approximately 105 Miles)
Destination: Naval Air Base Facility - El Centro arriving as the event takes to the sky.

Parking can be paved and/or dirt lots.
Free admission to the show, however, you can purchase box seat tickets for $25 each. Bring a fold up seat or blanket and hang out as a group, much more fun…

Return in the morning as a group, or not, your call.
Please keep in mind that we will be traveling at interstate freeway speeds for most of the way there and back.

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.

Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends and the individual HOG member. Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. East Valley Chapter #4507 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event* and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. It is the responsibility of each Template Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy

Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring East Valley Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
